On Friday, July 19th, I will be celebrating my 63rd birthday. As usual, it is a time for personal reflection and thanksgiving to Almighty God, who has graciously granted me life, good health, and the opportunity to contribute to the betterment of humanity.

I, Peter Gregory Onwubuasi Obi, born on July 19, 1961, in Onitsha, Nigeria, have had the privilege of serving as a Nigerian politician, statesman, and business executive. My journey in public service includes two terms as the Governor of Anambra State, first from 2006 to 2010 and then again until 2014. These years were marked by significant reforms and developments aimed at improving the lives of the people of Anambra.

Education has always been a cornerstone of my life. I attended Christ the King College in Onitsha, where I laid the foundation for my academic pursuits. Later, I graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where I gained the knowledge and skills that have supported my career in both politics and business.

My career has been diverse, encompassing roles as a politician and businessman. These experiences have provided me with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing our nation. Through various initiatives and policies, I have strived to create a more equitable and prosperous society.

Family has also played a central role in my life. In 1992, I married my beloved wife, Margaret Brownson Obi (née Usen). Together, we have been blessed with two wonderful children. Their support and love have been a source of strength and inspiration throughout my career.
