The Premium Plan will experience a 40% price increase, from N5,000 to N7,000 per month.
Netflix has announced a price increase for its subscription plans in Nigeria, marking the second-rate hike within a three-month period.
The Premium Plan will experience a 40% price increase, from N5,000 to N7,000 per month.
The standard plan will increase from N4,000 to N5,500, the mobile plan will now cost N2,200, and the basic plan will now cost N3,500.
The price increase may be part of Netflix's strategy to review subscription fees, drive revenue, and expand its content offerings.
The last price increase occurred in April 2024, where the standard plan rose from N3,600 to N4,000, the premium plan increased from N4,400 to N5,000, and the mobile plan increased from N1,200 to N1,600.
But with the new development, Netflix's four subscription plans see price increase.
Its mobile plan now costs ₦2,200, an 83% increase from ₦1,200, allowing one user at a time on a mobile device. Its basic plan increased to ₦3,500 per month from ₦2,900.
The standard plan which was formally N4,000 has been increased by 37.5% to ₦5,500 per month, while its premium plan increased to ₦7,000 per month from N5,000, providing Ultra HD quality on four devices at a time and download options on six devices.
Starting October 2023, Netflix has been increasing the prices of its Basic and Premium plans in various key regions worldwide, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
