On July 27, 2024, Nigeria mourned the loss of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, a prominent businessman and politician known for his contributions to the oil and gas sector and his political endeavors.

Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah was born on September 3, 1971, in Nnewi, Anambra State, to Mr. and Mrs. Alphonsus Ubah. He was married to Uchenna Ubah, a graduate in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, and they had five children together. Ubah was also the founder of the Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation, which aimed to support various community initiatives.

Ubah' s educational journey was challenging due to financial constraints, leading him to leave Premiere Academy in Abuja to pursue vocational training. Despite this setback, he later attended numerous local and international seminars focused on leadership and business management.

As the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited, Ubah made significant strides in the oil and gas industry. His leadership transformed Capital Oil into a major player in Nigeria' s downstream sector within just six years. His commitment to job creation and local development was evident in his ambitious projects, including a multibillion- naira industrial and games village in Anambra State.
