In a shocking and tragic incident, a 15- year- old boy has reportedly died after being beaten by his mother over a missing GH¢80. 00. The incident occurred in the American Town area of Kasoa, where the mother runs a well- known bakery.

According to reports, the mother discovered that GH¢80. 00 was missing from her money over the weekend. Believing that her son had taken the money, she confronted him and demanded that he confess to the theft. When the boy did not admit to taking the money, she allegedly beat him and threatened to turn him over to the police.

The situation took a devastating turn when the boy, still suffering from the beating, was put in a taxi to be taken to the police station. Unfortunately, he passed away during the journey.

On Monday, reporters from the Ghana News Agency (GNA) visited the boy' s home. They found the family in deep mourning, with members wearing mourning attire. Although the family confirmed the tragic incident, they chose not to speak to the press about the details. They did, however, mention that the case had been reported to the Kasoa Divisional Police Command.

In a confusing twist, a follow- up visit to the police station by GNA revealed that no official report had been filed regarding the boy' s death. This raises questions about the communication between the family and the authorities, as well as the handling of the case.
