"My Mom Gave Me Her Pension To Produce My Movie But I Lost The Money To Marketers" Oyinade Adegbenro
Aug 6, 2024
Popular Yoruba movie actress Oyinade Adegbenro recently shared a heartbreaking story about the financial struggles she faced in her acting career. The actress opened up about how her mother's act of generosity, giving her money from her pension, turned into a devastating loss due to the actions of some unscrupulous marketers in the movie industry.
In a video posted on the official YouTube channel of Oyinmomo TV, Adegbenro candidly discussed the challenges she encountered when trying to produce her own movie. The actress revealed that at a point in her career, she had considered giving up on acting altogether due to the lack of movie roles coming her way from her colleagues. Feeling disheartened, she decided to relocate to Ilorin, where her parents reside.
It was during this time that Adegbenro's mother reached out to her with a generous offer. The actress recounted, "Before I relocated, my mother called to inform me that her pension money has been paid, and she was ready to give me some money to do whatever I want."
Adegbenro's mother, in a selfless act of support, gave her daughter the money from her pension to invest in producing her own movie. However, what should have been a stepping stone towards greater success in her acting career turned into a nightmare due to the actions of some marketers.
