Biography
Nadia Buari was born on November 21, 1982, in Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana, to a Lebanese father and a Ghanaian mother. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Alhaji Sidiku Buari, a musician and producer.
Education
Buari attended Mfantsiman Girls’ Secondary School and later studied Performing Arts at the University of Ghana, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Career
Buari’s acting career began in 2005 with the TV series “Games People Play”. She has since appeared in over 20 movies, including “Beyonce: The President’s Daughter”, “Mummy’s Daughter”, and “The Diary of Imogen Brown”. She has also produced a film, “The Diary of Imogen Brown”, in 2013.
Awards and recognition
Buari has received several award nominations, including two nominations for Best Actress at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2009. She won the Pan African Actress award at the 2013 Nigerian Entertainment Awards in New York City.
Personal life
Buari is married with five children, four daughters and a son. She keeps her husband and children away from public eyes, and has chosen not to show their faces in photos and videos, instead sharing glimpses of their backs.
