Jackie Appiah is a Canadian-born Ghanaian actress born on December 5, 1983, in Toronto, Canada. Her parents were Mr Kwabena Appiah and Mrs Janet Owusu, both Ghanaians. She was the last child of her parents.
Jackie Appiah started her primary education at Derry Down Public School in Toronto, Canada. Her love for acting started at that Early age as she played a part in Every end of year school play.
After moving to Ghana with her mother at the age of 10, Jackie Appiah joined the Faith Montessori School in Accra. She later attended Achimota Prepatory where she became the Girl’s Entertainment Perfect. The actress completed her senior High Education at Harvard College in Accra. She also bagged a 2nd Class (Upper Division) Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Information at the University of Ghana.
Jackie Appiah began her acting career in 2001. Appiah’s breakthrough role came when she played Enyonam Blagogee in the TV series “Things We Do for Love.”
Appiah’s talent and dedication to her craft have earned her numerous roles in films and TV series, including “Beyoncé – The President Daughter,” “Princess Tyra,” “Passion of the Soul,” and “The Perfect Picture.”
Her outstanding performances have received critical acclaim and numerous awards.
