The disputed section of the book implicated Ibrahim Mahama, who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners Limited, as one of the major debtors that contributed to the financial struggles of Merchant Bank prior to its sale. This portrayal, which suggested that Mahama's debts were a key factor in the bank's difficulties, sparked a sharp response from the businessman and his legal team, who asserted that the claims were both erroneous and damaging to his reputation.

Manasseh Azure, known for his rigorous investigative work, acknowledged that the inclusion of this information was a genuine oversight on his part.
