Nigeria-born British teenager Divine Iheme is the latest athletics sensation having broken the 100m age group world record. The sprinter, who is also known as 'Lightning Divine,' has recently broken the under-15 world record in the 100m event by registering a time of 10.3 seconds at an athletic meet at Lee Valley in London, UK. Iheme broke the record of Jamaica's Sachin Dennis of Jamaica had a timing of 10.51 seconds at the age of 14 years and seven months.

This is the fourth time 14-year-old Iheme has broken the world record which has earned him comparisons with sprint legend Usain Bolt, having already registered timings of 10.46, 10.48, and 10.49 seconds in the past but all of them were wind-assisted and were not counted.

The most amazing fact about Iheme which shows his capability is how quickly he is cutting down time. At 12 he was taking 11.3 seconds to cover 100m and now he has cut down the time taken by one full second.

Eight-time Olympic gold medallist Bolt holds the overall world record in the 100m category with a timing of 9.58 seconds.

Born on 1 January 2009, Iheme is coached by his mother Nkiruku Iheme. His mother Nkiruku and father Innocent Iheme represented Nigeria a the 2002 Commonwealth Games. They have now moved to the UK and Iheme is Oxford-based now with his mother running the PWD Athletic Academy.
