Aug 30, 2024
Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, has sparked controversy on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) after being accused of sampling an Indian song in his latest hit track, ‘Azaman’.
The dispute arose when a social media user shared a video comparing Rema’s ‘Azaman’ to the Indian track “Chudaka Chudaka,” pointing out striking similarities between the two songs.
‘Azaman’, featured on Rema’s second album HEIS, has enjoyed great success, but the allegation of sampling has generated discussion online.
