The member representing the Kaduna North Federal Constituency at the Lower Chamber, Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai has given hope to the less privileged sickle cell patients of the Sickle Cell Patient Health Promotion Centre (SCPHPC), located in Badrawa /Malali ward of Kaduna North local government area of the state by donating funds to buy routine drugs for the patients.

Represented byState Universal Basic Education Board, Dr Jamil Haruna a permanent member of Kaduna state universal basic education board, Bello El-Rufai donated N2m for the sickle cell patients at the centre.

He said the money should be used to purchase routine drugs for the sickler who are of the lower cadre in the society and could not afford to buy their drugs.

Receiving the donation on Friday, the Founder/Coordinator of the Centre, Hajiya Badiya Magaji Inuwa, while appreciating the kind gesture of Bello El-Rufai said his kind and generous donation would not be taken for granted.

“On behalf of the SCPHPC, I wish to use this medium to thank and appreciate Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai who is Chairman, Committee on Banking Regulation of the Federal House of Representatives for his cash support, which was specifically towards procurement of routine and life-supportive drugs.
