Former DSS DG's Son On The Run As He Reportedly Stole N3 Billion- More Details
Sep 14, 2024
In a series of serious accusations, Jackson Ude, a former aide to ex- President Goodluck Jonathan and an independent journalist, has made shocking claims against Abba Yusuf Bichi, the son of former Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Magaji Bichi. Ude alleges that Abba stole a staggering sum of $2 million, which is approximately ₦3 billion, from his father' s safe and subsequently fled the scene.
The allegations were made public through Ude' s post on X (formerly known as Twitter) According to the post, the incident occurred shortly after President Bola Tinubu announced the dismissal of Yusuf Bichi as the Director General of the DSS. Ude claims that sources within the DSS confirmed the theft, pointing to an apparent family drama that unfolded immediately after the father lost his position.
In his post, Ude stated: " Former Director General of the Department of State Security, DSS, Yusuf Magaji Bichi, is currently looking for his son, Abba, who broke into his safe in his house and stole $2 million cash and took off. " The accusations suggest that Abba, aware of where his father allegedly stored money collected from politicians, saw an opportunity in the aftermath of his father' s removal from office. Once Yusuf Bichi was officially dismissed, Abba reportedly rushed to the house and made off with a box containing the large sum of money.
