Prof David Asamoah elected KNUST Pro VC

Prof David Asamoah, Head of the Department of Supply Chain and Information Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Systems at (KNUST) School of Business (KSB) has been elected as the university’s pro Vice Chancellor.
He polled 436 out of 918 votes cast.
Prof Charles Frimpong polled 298 votes while Prof Mrs Michelle Korkor Essandor garnered 186 votes.
Profile
Prof. David Asamoah has been with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for the past 17 years and he is currently a Professor and Head of the Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at KNUST School of Business (KSB).
He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Master’s degree in Business Administration and PhD in Logistics & Supply Chain Management all from KNUST.
Prof. Asamoah’s teaching and research interests are in the areas of Supply Chain Management and Information Systems, with particular interest in Enterprise Resource Planning, Supply Chain Digitalization and Digital Transformation, Data-driven Supply Chains, Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain disruption and resilience.
He has co-authored and published in many reputable journals including IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, the International Journal of Logistics Management Communication of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS), Information Systems Frontiers, International Journal of Information Management, and Information Technology for Development.
