Akufo-Addo appoints Michael Asare Bediako as CEO of Millennium Development Authority

President Akufo-Addo has appointed Mr Michael Asare Bediako as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Millennium Development Authority in accordance with Article 195 (1) of the Constitution and Section 15 (2) of the Millennium Development Authority Act, 2006 (Act 702),
The appointment is contained in a letter dated 12 September 2024 and signed by secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante and copied to the Vice President, Chief of Staff, Minister for Finance, Minister for Food and Agriculture, Minister for Trade and Industry, Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation, and Rural Development, Chairperson of the Public Service Commission and the Board chairperson of the Millennium Development Authority.
“I am pleased to inform you that the President has appointed you to act as the Chief Executive Officer of Millennium Development Authority (the `Authority”), pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the Governing Board of the Authority, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission,” the appointment letter sighted by Asaase News read.
“Your appointment is for a period of four (4) years, effective 11 September 2024. Kindly indicate your acceptance or otherwise of this appointment within 14 days of receipt of this letter. I take this opportunity to congratulate you on your appointment. Please accept the President’s best wishes,” the letter further read.
