Albania plans to create a "sovereign state" for Bektashi order — a microstate for moderate Muslims The proposed microstate will be located within Tirana, covering around 10 hectares. In this new territory, alcohol consumption will be allowed, and women can walk with their heads uncovered. The Bektashi order promotes respect and tolerance as its core values. The state will have its own administration, much like the Vatican, and issue passports to its residents. The project's goal is to foster a tolerant version of Islam.
