Peter Mugure was a respected officer in the Kenya Air Force, known for his dedication to his job. He had a promising career and was seen as a model soldier. However, beneath his disciplined exterior lay a troubled personal life. Peter had married Joyce Syombua, and together they had two children: a daughter named Shanice and a son named Prince Michael.
Joyce was born on May 9, 1988, and she was the firstborn in a family of five. She grew up in the Kayole neighborhood of Nairobi, where she met Peter. Their relationship began in 2005, and they married a few years later. Initially, they seemed happy, but as time went on, their marriage faced significant challenges.

After several years together, Joyce and Peter’s relationship began to deteriorate. The couple separated, and Joyce moved back in with her mother. Despite their split, they continued to have an on-and-off relationship, and Joyce gave birth to their two children. However, the strains of their marriage took a toll on both of them.
In 2018, Joyce sought financial support from Peter through the courts. By this time, Peter had started a new family with another woman and had two more children. The court ruled that Peter had to pay child support for Shanice and Prince Michael, which added pressure to his already strained relationship with Joyce.
