Osei Bonsu Sarfo Kantanka, who works for Otumfuo has explained why. According to him, anyone who wants to criticize the Asantehene must go through the queen mother, who is the only person allowed to do so. He also criticized Afia Pokua for suggesting that the Asantehene, who is in his 70s, is hard of hearing.

"You go through the queen mother, she is the only person who can rebuke him. If you don’t go through the queen mother and then you do it yourself, then you’re in trouble,” he said

Few days ago, Afia Pokua expressed her views and also her disappointment on how the Asantehene handles issues with other ethnic groups and how politicians show him a lot of respect. She made several hard critics against Asantehene on Onua TV. She said that the Asante people are only an ethnic group in Ghana and doesn't represent the whole country.

These comments did not sit well with the some chiefs around Asantehene. Afia Pokuaa and her team went to Manhyia to apologize but her apology was rejected.

Afia Pokua later tried to apologize by visiting the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi. She knelt before the Asantehene, along with Mona Gucci, who was also involved in the interview. However, the Asantehene did not accept her apology and asked her to leave the palace, despite her previous apologies on social media and television.
