Oct 6, 2024
Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah, a prominent Ghanaian pastor known for his fiery sermons and controversial statements, has issued a bold challenge to Ernest Owusu-Bempah, a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). During a recent church service, the reverend claimed he would seize Owusu-Bempah’s car if the politician dared him to do so, sparking widespread discussions and reactions across social media.
The statement came during a service at the Glorious Word Power Ministries International in Accra, where Reverend Owusu-Bempah was addressing his congregation about the importance of faith and boldness in the face of opposition. He claimed that certain individuals were attempting to undermine his ministry and credibility, and in response, he issued the provocative statement directed specifically at Ernest Owusu-Bempah.
“Let him dare me! If you dare me, I will seize your car,” the reverend proclaimed, prompting a mix of laughter and gasps from the congregation. “I am not afraid of anyone. My God is with me, and I will not back down against those who seek to challenge my authority and my ministry.”
The comment has since ignited a firestorm of reactions, with many Ghanaians taking to social media to express their opinions on the matter. Supporters of Reverend Owusu-Bempah praised his boldness and his willingness to stand up for his beliefs. “He is a true man of God who will not be intimidated,” one supporter commented on Facebook.
