The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers will resume with round three this week with Ghana taking on Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday evening. The Black Stars are currently in third place in Group F while the Falcons of Jediane are second. Let’s get into the match prediction.

After suffering a shocking knockout in the group stage of the 2023 AFCON, Ghana’s participation in the next edition to be held in Morocco is in serious doubt.

The Black Stars managed just a single point from their first two qualification matches last month, which came in a 2-2 draw away to Egypt, just a few days after they lost to Cape Verde 2-1 at home.

With those results, the hosts have now managed only two wins in their last 11 matches across all competitions. At home, Ghana have a record of four wins, one draw and one loss in their last six.

Meanwhile, Sudan got their AFCON qualifying campaign off to a positive start, overcoming minnows Niger 1-0 in the opening round. However, despite a resilient display, they were unable to overcome Angola in round two and lost their second match 2-1 on the road.

Still, the Falcons of Jediane are a side on the up, having won three of their last four matches and lost just two of their last 10 in all competitions, notching up six wins and two draws in the process.
