Incoming Deputy President Professor Kithure Kindiki is set to take his oath of office today at 10 AM at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), following the clearance from the High Court. Not only is Prof. Kindiki a respected legal scholar, but he also comes from an impressive family of nine siblings, with five of them being professors and the other four currently working toward their PhDs.
Prof. Kindiki's educational background is truly commendable. He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Moi University in Kenya in 1998, then went on to get a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Human Rights Law and Democracy from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2000. Just two years later, he completed his PhD in International Law at the same institution. Additionally, he holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Kenya School of Law, which is essential for anyone looking to become an advocate in Kenya.
1. Professor Jonah Kindiki
His brother, Professor Jonah Nyaga Kindiki, serves as a Full Professor of International Education and Policy at Moi University's School of Education. He has an impressive record with 116 publications and has supervised 40 PhD candidates and 174 Master’s students. He's also had significant roles in academia, including Dean of the School of Education and Project Leader at the East and South African-German Centre of Excellence in Educational Research Methodologies and Management (CERM-ESA).
