North Korean soldiers sent to war against Ukraine have become addicted to pornography North Korean soldiers sent by Kim Jong-un to Russia have become addicted to online pornography. Gideon Rahman, an international columnist for the Financial Times, reported that upon arriving in Russia, the soldiers got access to the open Internet for the first time and began to actively explore content previously unavailable to them. In North Korea itself, only the top leadership has access to the Internet, while other citizens are only allowed access to the state-run Kwangmyong intranet, where only government-approved content is published. Access to pornography is strictly prohibited in the country, its distribution and viewing is punishable by up to 15 years in prison, and even the death penalty for large volumes of content.
