The state-of-the-art facility, located in the heart of Ridge, is valued at an impressive US$250 million and marks a significant milestone for the country’s central bank.

The announcement of the new headquarters comes after a period of intense debate, especially following the revelation of the Bank of Ghana’s GH¢60 billion losses in 2022. Critics, particularly from the opposition in parliament, have raised concerns over the timing and necessity of such a massive expenditure, questioning whether the funds could have been better allocated to more pressing national issues.

Despite the controversy, the project has progressed steadily, with contractors now in the final stages of construction. A recent video released on social media showcases the impressive scale of the building, which is set to become a prominent feature of Ghana's skyline. The footage highlights the near-completion of the multi-storey structure, which will house the central bank’s operations and provide a modern working environment for its staff.
