Born to Ghana's former Defense Minister, Dr. Kwame Addo-Kufuor, Kwame Addo-Kufuor Jnr attended Prempeh College from 1983 to 1985.
Sources indicate that he had first class honours in Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ghana School of Business. He further received his professional certificate in Chartered Accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, where he was a member of the former and a fellow of the latter.
Among the roles he held at AngloGold Ashanti include Director, Vice-president, and Head of Finance for the company's operations in West Africa. At Newmont, the Prempeh College alumnus became the Regional Vice-president of Government Relations and Regional Chief Financial Officer. Between 2016 and 2018, he served as the President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines.
He was also the General Assembly of the ECOWAS Federation of Chambers of Mines' first president. This gave him the opportunity to serve on the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources' Advisory Council and Ghana's Private Enterprises Federation Council.
