Dec 11, 2024
The National Democratic Congress’s (NDC), Dade Kotopon constituency secretary, Dzifa Gunu, has raised an alarm over the auctioning of cars by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

Sharing a press release signed by the Commissioner-General of the GRA on Facebook, Dzifa Gunu wrote, “This is criminal. Someone should tell her to stop this nonsense.”
The press release titled “Notice of Vehicle Auction by the Ghana Revenue Authority” contained a press alert on the auctioning of listed cars at one of the part sites in Accra on December 28, 2024.
Interested person’s were urged to pay a registration fee of Ghc2,500 to secure their slots, with every registered individual being guaranteed 100% of acquiring at least one vehicle.
While some Facebook users have descended on the GRA for this move, others have also defended the GRA, with the GRA itself responding to the post with its official handle.
