The best supermarket Christmas puddings in 2024 – there was one surprising winner
Dec 13, 2024
Choosing your Christmas Pudding is an important task this festive season, but with the likes of M&S, Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Lidl, and more competing for the top spot, who will come out as the winner?
If you're planning on making your own Christmas Pudding this year, you might be too late to the game with most needing at least a month to mature before being dished up on December 25. As shoppers prepare for their last minute dash to the supermarkets before Christmas kicks off, our writer Cally Brooks put 10 different Christmas Puddings from a range of supermarkets to the test - with one surprising winner.
There were plenty of options in the supermarkets this year, from traditional alcohol-soaked puddings to more unique takes on the classic dessert. Prices ranged drastically, with M&S serving up the priciest for £14, while the likes of Co-op offered options starting at just £2.60.
Tesco takes the win for the most unique Christmas Pudding, serving up a twist on the famous Black Forest dessert and combining it with the festive treat. But for me, there was one clear winner out of the bunch when it came down to taste.
Tesco Finest Black Forest Christmas Pudding, 800G, £12.00
