Shedeur Sanders' GPA speaks volumes after dad Deion made stance clear
Dec 21, 2024

Long before he became one of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft class, Shedeur Sanders achieved a stellar GPA while attending Trinity Christian School in Texas

Over 12 games this season, Sanders completed 337-of-454 passes for 3,926 yards, 35 touchdowns and eight interceptions en route to positioning himself as one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2025 draft class. NFL teams interested in acquiring his talents come April will be pleased to hear that the signal-caller additionally excels in school.
According to Athlon Sports, Sanders boasted a 3.9 GPA while attending Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas - the same high school where his father, Deion, served as offensive coordinator. ‘Prime Time’ confirmed just as much while speaking to CBS Sports in 2018, stating: “Shedeur is a leader, Shedeur works man, studies. Kid has a 3.9 GPA. He wants it.”
Upon graduating from Trinity Christian School, however, Sanders has opted to take the large majority of his college courses at Jackson State and Colorado online. While the decision to avoid in-person classes is now common amongst many student athletes across the nation, Deion argued that his son was missing out on several of the best experiences that attending a university has to offer.
"It's so different now," Deion said while appearing on the ‘Bret Boone Podcast’ back in January. “Most of the schooling is online. They go to classes and I'm like, ‘You guys are missing the best part of college to walk around and be on campus and build an atmosphere and build relationships on campus with other students outside of football. That's the best part of it.’”
