In 2022, Bynes made her film debut in Big Fat Liar, starring opposite fellow child actor Frankie Muniz and Paul Giamatti. The movie hysterically told the story of grade schooler Jason (Muniz) and his best pal Kaylee (Bynes), traveling to Los Angeles to take down a big-time movie producer, Marty Wolf (Giamatti), after ripping off his school paper for a blockbuster hit.
