Today, they have announced their new 1911 DS Prodigy Compact handguns which will bolster their already large family of Prodigy pistols. With 3.5” and 4.25” barrel options, shooters and EDC enthusiasts can toy with multiple options in a more compact configuration.

The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Compact is - unsurprisingly - a more compact iteration of their popular 5” 1911 DS Prodigy (1911 “Double Stack - DS” aka a 2011-style handgun). For people who want the same reliability, but in a smaller form factor for duty or everyday concealability, the new 1911 DS Prodigy Compact might have a home within your arsenal.
