Middle school anime also has some of the most interesting plotlines. Yet, what makes a great school anime is what they get right about its setting.
Some school-related anime are so outlandish that they can take viewers out of the story. Therefore, when anime set in schools are well-executed, it makes a difference. The most realistic anime set in schools have believable characters who act their ages. Plus, no matter what sort of magic or other fantastical element an anime has, it still shows that the students attend classes in some fashion - even if it’s offscreen. Anime can be outlandish, but the more realistic creators can make their setting, the more believable and enjoyable the stories become.
