Emmerdale's Amy Wyatt was killed off during Thursday's episode, as she managed to reveal who was trapped under the ice of the lake
Emmerdale viewers were left devastated as Amy Wyatt (portrayed by Natalie Jamieson) met a tragic end in heart-wrenching scenes.
In the Thursday instalment on ITVX, Amy astonishingly identified whose body was submerged beneath the ice just before she tragically suffered a cardiac arrest.
Struggling for breath, Amy managed to whisper to Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano), "Matty, Nate is in the water."
Matty replied, unaware of her meaning, "I know you were, darling, but you are safe now."
Trying again, Amy mustered, "Nate is in the water," before expressing her love to him: "I love you," reports Leeds Live.
In a shocking plot twist, Amy stopped breathing and experienced a cardiac arrest. Doctors tried to save her, but it was too late.
As the episode concluded, Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) alongside Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) returned to the accident site where emergency crews retrieved another body from the lake.
A police officer, urging caution, requested, "Can you get back in the car, please?" Tracy answered, clarifying their involvement in the wreck: "We were in the crash. My sister's girlfriend, Suzy, went down in that limo."
An emotional Vanessa insisted, "She's still down there, I can't leave her," while Tracy pressed for answers, asking, "We need to know, have you found her?"
