Maranatha Oil refutes post-dated Ghana Gas contract claim
Feb 21, 2025
Maranatha Oil Services Limited (MOSL), has strongly denied claims that it entered into a post-dated transport contract with Ghana National Gas Company, stressing that it is, “a responsible business entity” which complies “with the highest standards of business ethics and integrity.”
The claim, emanated from a boardroom wrangling and was reported by The Herald on July 12, 2024.
In a rejoinder dated December 13, 2024, MOSL, ,stated that the claim was inaccurate and misleading, emphasizing that the company has never had a post-dated transport service agreement with Ghana Gas.
Instead, MOSL clarified that its dealings with Ghana Gas, are strictly limited to the purchase of condensate under established commercial terms.
“The publication sought to cast our company in a bad light. As a responsible business entity, we have conducted business with utmost transparency and complied with the highest standards of business ethics and integrity,” the statement read.
MOSL has requested that The Herald publishes a rejoinder with the same prominence as the initial report to correct what they describe as an erroneous claim.
The company, reaffirmed its commitment to ethical business practices and transparency, while urging the media to ensure accuracy in their reporting.
