Calvin Harris's new Cotswolds mansion takes shape

The DJ and his wife may move in very soon
New pictures show the finishing touches being made to a country manor house being built in the Cotswolds by superstar DJ Calvin Harris. The multi-millionaire is creating his dream mansion where he is understood he plans to settle with his TV presenter wife Vick Hope.
The 41-year-old was previously granted planning permission to demolish an ‘ugly’ post-war property for a stunning five-bedroom home on the outskirts of a Gloucestershire village. The property was bought by Harris for £3.6M in 2019 and included 10 acres of land with its own vineyard, swimming pool and tennis court.
The plans were approved after planning official Martin Perks said they were a "sympathetic interpretation of a Cotswold country house.
He wrote: "In general terms, it is considered that the existing dwelling and associated buildings are not of any special architectural or historic interest. As a consequence, there is no objection to the demolition of the existing buildings and their replacement with a suitably designed development.
"The overall composition of the development is considered to represent a sympathetic interpretation of a Cotswold country house.
"The proportions, scale, size, detailing and materials are respectful of such development and represent a more sensitive interpretation of traditional Cotswold architecture than the current dwelling."
