Following the TIME Women of the Year Leadership Forum, Nicole Kidman stepped out once again for the gala at The West Hollywood EDITION on Tuesday, this time in a bespoke Chloé by Chemena Kamali blush pink bustier gown.

Honestly? I don’t like this for Nicole.

It just doesn’t align with what I’ve come to associate with her style.

The gown itself is undeniably pretty—with its voluminous tiered tulle skirt and scalloped-edge trim, it’s practically begging to be worn on a Disney press tour. But on Nicole? I’m completely baffled. It feels out of character, like she accidentally wandered into someone else’s wardrobe.

Nicole has always thrived in sleek, sophisticated silhouettes with a touch of edge—whether it’s a sharply tailored suit, a slinky column gown, or a dramatic couture moment with architectural structure. This? This feels too saccharine, too sweet for her usual refined aesthetic.

On the plus side, her hair and makeup are gorgeous once again. Soft tousled waves and a glowing complexion? No notes.
