I’m 6’2” & my boyfriend’s 5’6” – trolls say they’d rather be single, it took me years to get over our height difference

THEY say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but for some couples, it can take a little longer to find the attraction.
And one woman has come clean about not giving her friend a chance all because of his height.
Ellie, from the US, took to social media to out herself on why she didn't want to date her now boyfriend Lucas.
In the clip, she admitted to not wanting to date someone smaller than her.
"Me ignoring the rumours that my best friend is in love with me because I couldn't get over our height difference," she wrote.
Ellie would soon find out this was going to be a problem standing 6'2" tall when the average of a man in the US is 5'9".
But Lucas was even smaller at 5'6".
Despite her initial concerns, Ellie decided to give Lucas a chance and is now 'happier than ever' after dating for over a year.
In the clip, she showed multiple images of the pair together showing just how much Ellie towered over her boyfriend.
While the couple have gotten over their eight-inch height difference, they say it isn't the case for others.

Ellie revealed that people assume she isn't attracted to Lucas and brand her a 'gold digger', while others joke that she's his mother in another video.
Lucas also claimed that people make fun of him, saying he must love climbing trees.
I used to hate my height but now it’s a niche that rakes me in £100k a year
