10 Best Boston Crab Users In Wrestling History, Ranked
Mar 5, 2025
The Boston Crab is one of the most painful submission moves in professional wrestling. Whenever a wrestler hooks their opponent's legs, turns them onto their stomach and wrenches the legs tight over their back, a submission victory is virtually assured. The move has also proved devastating in MMA, when Jonno Mears used the Boston Crab to score a victory over Aaron Jones in September 2017.
Although the Boston Crab is something of a traditional submission move, there are those who do it better than others, even making it their primary finishing move, and these are ten of the best. Please note that for this list, we are not including variations like the Single-Leg Boston Crab, the Texas Cloverleaf and the Scorpion Deathlock/Sharpshooter.
