Manchester United are increasingly confident that Mason Greenwood will significantly boost Ruben Amorim's transfer budget by leaving Marseille this summer, according to reports. The 23-year-old forward is set to be under the microscope when Marseille travel to Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 next Sunday.
Greenwood left United for the French giants in a £27million deal last summer after spending the 2023/24 season on loan at La Liga side Getafe. The Red Devils may have cashed in on their youth product but made sure to include a hefty sell-on clause worth up to 50 per cent of a future sale. And that could be the key to unlocking a summer of much-needed spending to help Amorim reshape the squad he inherited from Erik ten Hag.
According to GIVEMESPORT, Barcelona and Real Madrid join PSG among the European heavyweights in the hunt for Greenwood's signature this summer.
Scouts will reportedly be in attendance when Marseille visit Paris later this month, where another impressive performance is expected to cement his status on multiple transfer wishlists.
It's claimed that United are confident Greenwood will complete a move away from the Velodrome that would massively contribute to Amorim's transfer aspirations.
The England international has registered 19 goal involvements in 26 appearances for Marseille in all competitions, attracting interest across the continent.
