Legendary actor Pete Edochie is celebrating his 78th birthday, today March 7.

The iconic actor, known for his authoritative voice and iconic roles, was honoured by his son, Yul Edochie in a heartfelt Instagram post.

Yul showered praises on his father, describing him as “one of Nigeria’s greatest icons” and “the biggest name in Nollywood.”

He also hailed Pete Edochie as a great man, a legend, a good man, and a wonderful father.

“The Lion of Africa. One of Nigeria’s greatest icons. The biggest name in Nollywood. A great man. A Legend. A good man. A wonderful father. Happy 78th birthday Dad. @peteedochie Ebubedike!
