Is ‘s Joy Behar ready to retire from the long-running daytime talk show? Well, maybe. Even though she has nothing to announce right now, the 82-year-old TV personality might be giving it some thought.

On March 7, Behar appeared on the podcast, hosted by ‘s executive producer, Brian Teta, where they talked about some of their favorite moments on the show. They reminisced about her and co-host Whoopi Goldberg taking a stand against Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, who was reportedly “being ridiculous” on a 2010 episode.

Behar recalled the iconic moment she and Goldberg walked off the set together. “I felt like the chair was propelling my tuckus right up. And then Whoopi followed me because we’re in solidarity,” she said proudly. “It’s my greatest moment on the show. And when I leave this show, I want you to include that in my package.”

Record scratch — was that just Behar’s retirement announcement? Teta knew how crucial it was for his colleague to “clarify” her statement since headlines would be writing themselves if he didn’t ask for more details.

She responded, “When I do. Everybody leaves eventually. Even you will leave eventually.”

“But there’s no plans for you to go anywhere at the moment?” Teta followed up one more time.

She took a long pause and firmly answered, “No.”

This isn’t the first time Behar’s retirement has been a hot topic. As the longest-running host on the show, she was asked about her future plans ahead of her 80th birthday in 2022. “I just signed a contract, so I’ll be here for a while,” she told almost three years ago. “I have no plans to retire. Sometimes I don’t believe that, as I’ve been here since the beginning, but we’re the most-watched show in daytime. Most-watched! I’m happy to be a part of it. So no, I’m not going anywhere. I’m having a good time.”
