Nearly four decades ago, Keanu Reeves and Ione Skye co-starred in the 1986 film River's Edge. At the time, Skye was smitten with Reeves, but her attempts to get closer with the future John Wick star did not get very far.

Per Entertainment Weekly, Skye opened up about her experience working with Reeves in her new book, Say Everything: A Memoir. She remembers having a "huge crush" on Reeves, which she admits got to the point where she started "stalking" him in his trailer. Skye also shared a story about visiting Reeves at his studio apartment where she tried to take a shower with him, but it turned out to be more awkward than intimate when she was rejected. However, Reeves turned her down in the kindest way possible.

"Keanu turned on the water and stood with his back to me, hand in the stream, staring up at the showerhead. I maneuvered between him and the open shower curtain, water spraying my back," Skye said in her book. "His beautiful neck was right there, so close I could lick it, so I did. I zeroed in on his beautiful throat, sucking and making out with it. He made a low, growly noise and I felt my stomach turn nicely. 'Oh,' I heard myself say. The room was thick with steam, my wet T-shirt sticking to me, wanting to be peeled off."

Skye said she tried to escalate the situation by reaching for Reeves' buckle. At that point, Reeves grabbed her wrist, telling Skye he didn't think he wanted to take things further. The rejection left Skye feeling embarrassed, though it helped that Reeves was still just as "charming" in how he rejected her.
