Alex Jones welcomed a new face to The One Show's famous green sofa on Wednesday (March 12), as the popular talk-show saw a major update in its line-up. Since stepping into Christine Bleakley's shoes as presenter of the BBC show back in the summer of 2010, Alex has shared the stage with numerous well-known individuals.
Currently, the show boasts a diverse selection of permanent presenters such as Ronan Keating, Roman Kemp and Lauren Laverne while others like Rylan Clarke, Zoe Ball and Vernon Kay step in as guest hosts.
Over the years on The One Show, Alex has worked with other notable co-hosts including Chris Evans and briefly, Jason Manford in her first year.
Her longest-serving partner was Matt Baker, who bid farewell to the programme in 2020 after a nine-year stint. Last year also witnessed Jermaine Jenas' exit from the show after a three-year collaboration with Alex.
The latest addition to the presenting team is JB Gill, fresh from securing the runner-up position in the most recent series of Strictly Come Dancing. With previous experience delivering reports for The One Show, JB made his debut as co-host alongside an enthusiastic Alex on Wednesday night.
Greeting viewers, Alex said: "Welcome to mid-week One Show and look who's by my side, we've stolen him from JLS. It's JB Gill!"
