WWE 2K25 Review: Step Into The Ring With WWE 2K's Final Boss

Quick Links

WWE 2K is back, the studio sticking with the far more suitable road to WrestleMania launch window it switched to a few years ago. The aptly-named is here, and as you’d expect, but is not always guaranteed, the latest installment is a significant step up on last year’s offering. I’d go as far as to say this is the best WWE 2K game since the series took a break following the disastrous launch of WWE 2K20.

WWE 2K Has Undergone Some Impressive Graphical Upgrades

The Virtual Men And Women Of WWE Have Never Looked Better

When I fired WWE 2K25 up for the first time, I did what any self-respecting video game-playing wrestling fan should do when they get a new wrestling game. I went straight to the jukebox and turned on all of the entrance themes. As much as I love Babymetal’s Ra Ta Ta making it onto the OST, I honestly don’t think 2K needs to be spending time and money on a curated soundtrack. We’d all rather have 40 years worth of WWE themes playing as we navigate the menus which are also greatly improved this year thanks to a tile system that's easy on the eye and even easier to scroll through.

Fans of both WWE and video games look forward to wrestler's ratings each and every year. The following are WWE 2K25's highest rated wrestlers.
Onto the more important stuff. With only a year to develop each game, the tallest order for 2K devs is to try and make each game look better than the last. If they don’t, the new installment will, perhaps quite rightly, be labeled little more than the same game as last year with an updated roster.
