5 WORST CARS Made By BMW Company (Photos)
Apr 1, 2025
BMW is known for producing high- performance luxury vehicles with cutting- edge technology and premium craftsmanship. However, not all BMW models have lived up to the brand' s reputation. Some were plagued with engineering flaws, poor reliability, and underwhelming performance, making them the worst cars ever made by BMW. Here are five of them.
BMW 7 Series (E65) (2002– 2008)
Why It Was Bad
The E65 7 Series introduced a radical design that many BMW enthusiasts disliked. Additionally, it came with the first- generation iDrive infotainment system, which was overly complicated and frustrating to use.
Major Issues:
Unreliable electronics caused frequent malfunctions
Expensive maintenance and repairs
Poor design reception– widely considered one of the ugliest BMWs ever made
BMW X6 (First Generation) (2008– 2014)
Why It Was Bad
The first- generation BMW X6 was an attempt to blend an SUV with a coupe, but it failed to excel at either. The bulky design made it less practical than an SUV, while its weight made it less sporty than a coupe.
Major Issues
Cramped rear seats and poor cargo space
Overly stiff suspension that reduced ride comfort
High maintenance costs and questionable reliability
BMW 318ti Compact (1994– 2000)
