Emmerdale fans reckon a former Dales legend is heading back to the village amid April Windsor’s ‘downward spiral’.

April (Amelia Flanagan) has had a difficult and traumatic past few months on the ITV soap. At the end of last year, she went missing after she ran away from home following an argument with her dad Marlon (Mark Charnock).

She was eventually found months later after unexpectedly going into labour in a gym toilet - only to be devastated by the stillbirth of her baby daughter.

April’s since returned back to the Dales - and the news of her pregnancy left her loved ones shocked. Wanting to know who the father is, April told them that it was just some “random” she met at a party.

Although still trying to regain some sense of normality, April has been struggling recently. Marlon meanwhile has been living in fear that she will disappear again and is constantly treading on eggshells around her.

Due to his fears that she will run away once more, Marlon has been letting her get away with a lot. An example was last week, when Marlon and Rhona (Zoe Henry) discovered she had slept with a boy she met at a party.

Rhona tried to discipline April, but Marlon wasn’t as hard on her as he was convinced that the more they get on at April, the likely it is she would go missing again.
