Man Waits at Home for Days for Important Package, Then Sees What FedEx Did
Apr 2, 2025
A Silicon Valley resident has gained viral attention after sharing his frustration with local FedEx drivers, who he claims keep skipping his deliveries.
"It happens at least once a month," the Redditor, who asked to be referred to as Kingkid_7, told Newsweek.
Having waited for several days to get his parcel, the man placed a handwritten note outside his door that read, "I'M HERE!!! Plz use the doorbell!!"
But despite his efforts, he was left with another FedEx "missed delivery" slip stuck to the door—seemingly pre-filled by the driver. Kingkid_7 said that when he checked the video doorbell footage, which he was unable to share, the driver didn't attempt to knock on the door or ring the bell.
"It p***** me off the first time but I was playing music loudly so I assumed I didn't hear the bell or knock. Then it happened the second time and I checked the Ring camera. That's when I saw that the FedEx driver didn't even knock or ring the bell on both occasions," he explained.
The boxes "we'll make another attempt" and "must be present for package delivery" had both been ticked on the slip.
"That's when I wrote the note, took the picture, and posted it on Reddit," he explained. "I also sent it to FedEx customer service but they never got back to me."
In a statement, FedEx told Newsweek: "We are unable to investigate this matter further without the customer's full name or tracking number. We offer FedEx Delivery Manager, which allows customers to customize their delivery, leave instructions for drivers, and redirect a package for pickup at FedEx Office or a hold at location."
