Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid has confirmed she will be absent from the ITV breakfast show for the next few weeks
Good Morning Britain star Susanna Reid has announced that she'll be taking a break from the breakfast show.
The seasoned presenter, who has become a morning staple since starting at the BBC, delivered the news on Thursday's programme (April 3) as she entertained the nation with co-host Ed Balls.
The duo delved into the day's hottest topics, including how criminals are raking in cash from fake goods sold online, and the financial hit UK industries might take from new US tariffs.
Towards the end of the show, Susanna and Ed spoke to commentators Ayesha Hazarika and Ed Vaizey about the day's news before handing over to Lorraine Kelly.
As the show ended, Susanna said: "See you in a couple of weeks, I'm going to go and spend some time off. I will be back, do not fear," reassuring fans of her return shortly, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Ed then chimed in, "Susanna, we'll see you in a couple weeks time."
While it's not been confirmed who will take Susanna's spot during her time off, chances are that it could be one of GMB's regular hosts such as Ranvir Singh, Kate Garraway, or Charlotte Hawkins.
Since her transfer to the ITV show in 2014, after her run on shows like BBC Breakfast, Sunday Morning Live, and The Andrew Marr Show, Susanna has firmly etched her mark on the morning broadcast scene.
