Medicube Age-R Booster Pro review: Why it's worth spending £179 on the Korean glass skin product
Apr 3, 2025
You’ve probably heard of the glass-skin trend that originated in Korea (i.e. the phenomenon where skin is so smooth, radiant, and poreless that it looks like a pane of glass). The current obsession there for achieving this look is the Medicube Age-R Booster Pro, a skincare device that does the work of six different tools in one. And not only is it the number-one selling device in South Korea rn, but it's loved by celebs like Hailey Bieberand available to purchase in the UK via Amazon and Boots.
Per the brand's clinical studies, in just a five-minute daily treatment, the device is thought to increase product absorption by a whopping 785 per cent. Wild, right? Since I already use and love a host of skincare tools (microcurrent, LED face masks, red light devices for hair growth, etc.), I had to see if this one could actually replace a few of 'em. I put my trusty devices in storage and exclusively used the Age-R Booster Pro for three weeks. Keep scrolling for my ~very official~ review and to learn everything you need to know about this skin-enhancing gadget.

What is the Medicube Age-R Booster Pro?

The Medicube Age-R Booster Pro is a multi-tasking tool built with six functions: Electroporation to increase product efficacy and absorption, microcurrent to firm, EMS (electric muscle stimulation) to sculpt your face, LED light therapy to help increase collagen production, sonic vibration to relax and soothe, and electric needles to boost elasticity and even skin texture and tone. Within each of these functions are four modes to choose from: booster, microcurrent, derma-shot, and air shot. Each setting is automated with a corresponding vibration pattern and LED colour – orange, green, red, and blue, respectively – to enhance the modality’s impact. TBH, there’s not much this device can’t do.
