Ronan O’Gara shares hilarious parental dilemma as he prepares to face Munster for first time with La Rochelle
Apr 4, 2025
RONAN O'Gara admits his household isn't 100 per cent behind him as he prepares to try and take down Munster.
The Reds travel to face La Rochelle this Saturday in what is a cinematic Champions Cup last-16 tie.
Ahead of facing off against his former club as a head coach for the first time, the Corkonian joined Off the Ball Breakfast for his usual Friday slot.
It was put to him that there might be a sense of divided loyalties among his five children.
Somewhat surprisingly, the 48-year-old admitted that is an accurate summation of Chez O'Gara this week.
He joked: "Between the children it's split. There were Munster jerseys out during the week.
"It can be a concern over the course of the season as you sometimes look over and see them in Toulouse jerseys.
"And this week I'm looking over at two of them in Munster jerseys.
"It's not really right that they're wearing these jerseys around La Rochelle.
"It's brazen enough. They must have a bit of something about them to do so but then, they are my kids!
