The Original Antonio’s Pizzeria planned in Parma
Apr 4, 2025
PARMA, Ohio -- The iconic Antonio’s Pizza at The Shoppes at Parma closed its doors for good last year after the death of Grace Loschiavo, who started Antonio’s Pizza in 1967 with her husband, Tony.
However, members of the Loschiavo family are keeping the Parma pizza institution alive with the new Original Antonio’s Pizzeria planned for 5722 Chevrolet Blvd., which is actually the current location of the original Antonio’s Pizza.
“So far we’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback,” said Loschiavo’s grandson Vince, who along with father, Fred, and brother Anthony currently operate 18 other restaurants, including Antonio’s Pizza, The BrewWall and Tony Maloney’s.
“A lot of people were kind of hoping we went back into Parmatown. We’re planning on bringing back somewhat of a nostalgic experience while creating a wonderful Italian dining experience. That’s really what Parmatown was in its prime.”
The existing Chevrolet Boulevard location is more of a pizza shop.
The Original Antonio’s Pizzeria menu will boast Loschiavo’s recipes, including lasagna, muffuletta, eggplant, chicken cutlets, veal and chicken Parmesan.
“It’s going to be more of an Italian restaurant but we’re still going to offer Antonio’s pizza because people do love our pizza,” he said.
Initially, the 3,300-square-foot restaurant, which was set to receive a more than $1 million renovation, was planning to open last year but Vince said the decision to move from a full remodel to an expansion pushed back the project.
