Apr 9, 2025
Whether you want to immerse yourself in nature, taste the freshest local produce, or simply feed a goat or two, a farm stay in Tasmania will deliver a full-blown cottage core experience. We’ve scoured Airbnb for the most legen-dairy spots with stunning backdrops so you don’t have to.
If you're looking to get back in touch with nature, here are the best farm stays we've found in Tasmania.
Penguin Hideaway Farmlet
Life doesn’t get much better than miniature goats. The Hideaway Farmlet, near Tasmania’s north coast town of Penguin, is home to a whole bunch of them. This adorable old farm cottage also counts ducks, chickens and guinea fowl as neighbours. Guests can attend the goats’ feeding time each morning, and even join them for a one-hour miniature high tea. The stay also offers farm produce tastings in the evenings, while the cottage comes with cosy comforts including hot water bottles, puzzles and books.
Claude Road Kings View Farm
This charming, self-contained cottage is nestled on the side of Mount Roland in northern Tasmania, looking out over the beautiful Dasher Valley. The property is home to a family of goats—as well as a chow chow named Pippi and a corgi called Edward. The farm stay is surrounded by walking tracks, waterfalls and wineries, and also comes equipped with the farm’s very own eggs and honey.
