Charles Barkley Stands Firm On His Stance About San Antonio Women
Apr 10, 2025
Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley took another shot at San Antonio’s women following his appearance at the Capital One JamFest, part of the March Madness Music Festival leading up to the NCAA Final.
This wasn’t his first dig at the women of San Antonio, as he has joked numerous times about their size. Instead of toning down his remarks, the Chuckster decided to up the ante and rile up the crowd even more.
During his on-stage appearance, Charles Barkley began by praising the city of San Antonio and expressing admiration for legendary Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. However, in typical Chuck fashion, he quickly shifted tone, delivering a comment that drew both laughs and criticism.
“Y’all are a great city. I love Gregg Popovich and the Spurs… And yes, y’all got some big b*****s here,” he said, reigniting a controversy that has followed him for over a decade.
Charles Barkley’s jokes about the size of San Antonio women have become infamous, with earlier quips comparing the women of Houston as “skinny,” while claiming San Antonio has “big a** women.”
Despite receiving backlash and warnings over the years, Charles Barkley has made it clear that he has no intention of backing down. Instead, he seems to embrace the controversy, treating it as a long-standing, humorous rivalry that entertains fans.
